When a catalog becomes a magazine.

Premise

Lobster's Day designs chairs with a distinct character. Each collection reinterprets a design icon—the mid-century iron chair, the geometry of the rhombus, the tension between the industrial and the domestic—and translates it into a contemporary language. That level of discernment called for words that could do it justice.

The Challenge

Product descriptions tend to be technical: measurements, materials, finishes. Lobster's Day needed something different: copy that would explain the origin and intent behind each collection, allowing customers to get a sense of the product before seeing it in person.



's process: La Deriva studied each collection—its historical context, its aesthetic, its internal logic—and drafted the descriptions based on that. Not based on technical specifications, but on the design philosophy behind each piece.

Descriptions of all Lobster's Day collections and models, written in the brand's signature tone and style in both Spanish and English.
